Nearly all the historic buildings that are opened to the public on the occasion of Monumento Habri 2004, have been built on the former hinterland of the Westwerf. These grounds, which were hardly built on round 1860, stretched westward from the St. Anna Bay, and was situated to the north of the present Frederikstraat.
